General

Acoustic guitars from Yamaha have a well-deserved reputation for their durability and quality, and this white FG720S is no exception. Yamaha created the Folk Guitar (FG) series to offer you a first-class instrument for a price that everyone can afford. Whether you're a beginner looking for your first acoustic guitar, or an advanced player who wants a extra reliable guitar, the FG720S has the fantastic sound and playability that only Yamaha can offer in this price class.

The spacious sound of the Yamaha FG720S

The wood choice for a top can make or break the sound of an acoustic guitar. For the FG720S, Yamaha chose a solid sitka spruce top. Chosen for its looks as much as its sound, solid spruce delivers a full, articulated sound with outstanding projection. And because it's solid wood, the sound will only get better over time. The sides and back of the FG720S are made of nato, a type of eastern mahogany. The warm, rich sound and special depth of nato combines beautifully with the lively and defined sound of the spruce top. You'll be amazed at the wide sound range the Yamaha FG720S offers.

L-series quality for an affordable price

The FG720S makes use of Yamaha's reverse L-block design, which transfers the vibrations of the strings more quickly to the body of the guitar. This results in more depth in your sound and better tone, along with improved stability of the neck joint. The larger format of the rosewood bridge helps the sound carry better from the strings to the top, resulting in bright, clear mids and an overall full and balanced sound. Finally, the FG720S is simply and tastefully decorated with real mother-of-pearl inlays on the headstock and cream-coloured bindings along the neck and body.
