The Yamaha FG700MS is an acoustic steel-string guitar with many luxurious qualities and a low price. It has a solid top made of Sitka spruce wood, sides and back made of nato, and internal reinforcement bars inspired by the L series - Yamaha's flagship. Naturally, this steel-string acoustic guitar has Yamaha's famous ultra-thin matte lacquer finish, for a rich, natural sound and a fantastic feel.
Yamaha FG700MS: solid-top steel-string guitar with a mature sound
The FG700MS makes use of a reversed L block to bind the neck to the body, which gives you deeper bass levels and a more stable guitar in general. The solid spruce top ensures optimal resonance with a full, warm sound and sparkling trebles. The neck, sides and back are all made from light brown nato wood for clean, defined intonation. Yamaha has kept this 43-mm-wide neck comfortable and slim, ensuring optimal playability for small and large hands alike. The rosewood fretboard contains 20 frets and small, elegant inlays.
A Classic Dreadnought
The FG700MS is simply and tastefully decorated with multi-layer bindings along the body, a round tortoise-shaped pickguard, and a mother-of-pearl logo and decoration on the headstock. This Dreadnought is equipped with a set of high-quality die-cast chrome tuners with large pegs, which ensure long-lasting smooth operation and optimal tuning stability. The Yamaha FG700MS is a no-frills folk guitar, and a fantastic entry-level model with luxury characteristics including a solid Sitka spruce top, high-quality die-cast tuners, and an elegant matte finish.
