General

With the F370DW, Yamaha proves once again that learning to play the guitar doesn't have to be expensive. This steel-string western guitar has an excellent price to quality ratio. Don't let the low price fool you though, because this is a full-fledged Yamaha guitar, and it makes the ideal choice for beginners and advanced players on a budget. This particular model features the same natural finish as the Yamaha F370DW, though it's also available in Tobacco Brown Sunburst if that's more to your liking.

Yamaha F370DW: full-sized Dreadnought

This acoustic guitar features a full-sized Dreadnought body, which is known for its large size, slightly more angular shape and slim waist. Thanks to the large size of the body and the spruce top combined with a sapele back and sides, you can enjoy a full, warm sound with plenty of volume. As such, Dreadnought guitars are suited for a variety of genres and playing styles, from subtle finger picking to strumming with a guitar pick.

Reliable western guitar

The Yamaha F370DW features a set of rugged self-lubricating tuners for supple, stable tuning. If you inspect the string nut, you'll find that the notches for the strings have been carefully filed with extreme precision, and a compensated bridge saddle ensures that this folk guitar rings clear, time and time again. In order to keep the spruce top protected from scratches, a black pickguard has been mounted, which happens to match the rosette beautifully. In short, the Yamaha F370DW is a lot of guitar for a little money.
