General

The Recording King ROH-05 Dirty 30's OOO Solid Top is compact yet powerful sounding acoustic steel-string guitar. As its name implies, it has a relatively compact triple-O-style body with a solid top. This means that the top is made from one piece of wood rather than being laminated like other instruments at this price range often are. A solid top results in a noticeably warmer and more prominent sound. The ROH-05 has a dark, matte sunburst finish that gives it an attractive vintage-looking appearance. The beautiful ivory-coloured bindings on the body and the recognisable Recording King headstock complete the look.

ROH-05: a Triple-O

The Recording King Dirty 30's elegant triple-O-shape, also known as Grand Auditorium, is broader and deeper than a Grand Concert but smaller than the well-known dreadnought model. This makes the instrument easy to handle, while the body still produces sufficient volume. Compared to the larger dreadnought, the sound is tighter and more direct. The solid spruce top ensures that the sound has plenty of character too. In summary, this well priced, attractive steel-string acoustic is perfect for any guitarist looking for a compact instrument with a great sound.
