General

This RD-227 acoustic steel-string from the Torch Abalone Series by Recording King features tasteful abalone inlays and is made from the same top-quality wood as guitars that are many times more expensive. It's made exclusively by hand and is equipped with a solid Sitka spruce top and solid rosewood sides and back, giving it a full, warm sound with sparkling highs and plenty of acoustic volume. This guitar is ideal for use in a band with other loud acoustic instruments such as drums, banjos and violins. Thanks to the 45mm-wide V-shaped neck, flat-pickers, Bluegrass-lovers and singer-songwriters are sure to be tickled pink!

RD-227: traditional and authentic old-school features

There's a good chance you recognise the RD-227 from somewhere else, and that wouldn't be surprising, as it's actually based on the well-known, valuable Martin Dreadnought model from the thirties. Some distinguishing features of this classic model include the traditional bone bridge saddle, a 20-fret ebony fretboard with abalone snowflake inlays, a diamond-shaped volute heel and a tortoiseshell pickguard with authentic, rounded edges. The RD-227 also makes use of the forward X-brace system which means the guitar produces more volume with fuller basses and brighter highs.
