The body of this Grand Auditorium shaped acoustic is made from a solid spruce top, a maple back and matching maple sides to shape outstanding resonance and masses of volume. Whether finger picking or playing heavy chords, the build of this model is such that every note is given incredible definition. Giving thought to environmental sustainability, Merida have finished the DG-20SPGAC with a techwood fretboard, keeping both the looks and tone fully intact.

This is a very beautiful guitar to look at. Really breath taking. Unfortunately, it sounds as if someone stuck a pillow in it as the noise it makes is extremely muffled. It's that bad. I've played guitars for more than half the price of this one that sounded better. I'm not sure if all Merida Guitars play as badly as this one or its just the model. I suspect the latter. For around the same price you can get a Fender CD-60SCE with a beautiful sound, playability, and a Fishman Pickup. LAG Guitars are also very good but cost more. Bax-shop service is great as always.

The neck has a natural finish that contrasts beautifully with the rest of the body. If you want one, you'll have to be quick though, because only 68 of these have been made!
