Guild M-40 Troubadour Natural acoustic steel-string guitar
Wrote the following about Guild M-40 Troubadour Natural acoustic steel-string guitar
GUILD M-40: I'v been looking for a small bodied fingerpicking guitar, tried some Taylors, some 00-Martins and the cheaper all-solid eastern brands. This is the one that stood out. A small powerhouse with a bigger sound than you expect from a small body. I wanted to buy the Guild M-20 (my first choice - still want one) but I decided to buy this one already (It was in stock). The only difference with the all mahogany M-20 is the sitka spruce top, so you get a little bit more expression. This guitar is way better then the examples you'll see on the Guild site. More vibrant and alive. The small body resonates so well, a joy to play. Comes with a very nice luxury case with built-in humidifier. Impeccable craftsmanship, setup was perfect out of the box. Strung with 0.12 and still plays like butter. Excellent value for money.
