Algemeen:
Naast de zeer betaalbare LITE-serie akoestische gitaren van Crafter, is er ook de HiLITE-serie. Voor nagenoeg dezelfde prijs krijgt u ook een solid top western, maar dan met een zijdeglans afwerking en een sierlijke houten rozet rond het klankgat. De HiLITE-T CD/VTG is een “Triple O” of “OOO” model gitaar met een massieve cederhouten top in een vintage sunburst kleur. Hij is even groot als een standaard dreadnought model, maar dan met een smallere taille en dunnere body. Dit maakt de gitaar strakker en tevens feller van klank. Ideaal voor fingerpicking speelstijlen en populair in de bluesmuziek.

HiLITE-T CD/VTG: volle bassen en zachte trebles
De meeste “budget” akoestische gitaren in deze prijsklasse hebben een gelamineerde top. De Crafter HiLITE-T CD heeft daarentegen een bovenblad van massief hout. Dit is veel kostbaarder en wordt alleen bij de duurdere modellen gebruikt. Crafter maalt hier niet om, want een gitaar moet immers goed klinken, zelfs een betaalbaar model.Een massieve top heeft als voordeel dat de klankkast beter resoneert, dus meer volume produceert en een rijkere klank.

De “CD” in de naam van deze gitaar staat voor ceder. Dit is een zachte en lichtgewicht houtsoort met een zeer volle en warme klank. Perfect in combinatie met het strakke geluid en felle respons van de “Triple O” model klankkast.

Vernieuwde Crafter “bridge pins”
De HiLITE-T CD VTG is voorzien van het nieuwe model brugpin van Crafter. Deze “bridge pins” houden de snaren op zijn plaats in de body. Maar soms kunnen ze erg vast gaan zitten of juist loskomen tijdens het gitaarspelen. Dankzij hun nieuwe vorm blijven ze nu beter zitten. De bovenkanten steken wat verder uit zodat u ze ook gemakkelijker weer los kunt halen zonder uw brug te beschadigen. Hiervoor kunt u de optionele Crafter BR-400 brug pin verwijderaar gebruiken.
