Korg PB01 Pitchblack chromatic stage tuner

The Pitchblack is chromatic stage tuner specifically made for electric guitars and bass guitars. It's the same size as a regular effect pedal and features a solid aluminium casing that can handle a hard on-the-road life. Despite its small size, the Pitchblack has a large LED display with an illuminated surface that is easy to read, be it in broad daylight or in the dark. The Pitchblack stage tuner makes quickly tuning your instrument easy thanks to features such as the tuning indicator, the clear display that shows which note you're playing, and the on/off LED indicator.

The Pitchblack has a range from E0 (20.60Hz) to C8 (4186Hz) and an adjustable calibration frequency from 436 to 445 Hz. This tuner is compatible with seven-string guitars and six-string bass guitars. The Korg Pitchblack gives you four tuning methods to chose from. Furthermore, the yellow triangular indicators show you when you're in tune, while the red LEDs perform different tasks depending on the mode you're using. 

In Full Strobe mode, the LEDs start moving when you play a note and stop when your instrument is correctly tuned. The LEDs move from left to right if the string is too high, and they move from right to left when it's too low. You'll see the two yellow indicators light up and the green LED switch on when the string is in tune. 

In Half Strobe mode, the LEDs move from the middle to the right when the string is tuned too high and to the left when it's too low. When the tuning is correct, the green LED and the triangular yellow indicators will switch on. The left yellow indicator lights up when the string is too low, while the right lights up when the string is too high.

In Mirror mode the two LEDs on the left and right meet in the middle and both yellow indicators light up when you're in tune. The pitch lit LEDs will move further apart from one another the more your instrument is out of tune. The left tuning guide will light up if your instrument is flat and the right tuning guide will light if your instrument is sharp.

The Meter mode is similar to using a needle meter. The green LED in the centre of the LED display will light up in addition to both yellow indicators when you're in tune. The tuning indicators will go to the right if you're sharp and to the left if you're flat.

You'll find that the Pitchblack mutes your sound when you're tuning so you can work in silence. When you're not tuning, your output will be transmitted without any alteration - this is referred to as True Bypass, and it functions to ensure that your signal remains unaltered. Finally, the tuner is equipped with a 9V DC output so you can connect multiple pedals.
