General

Built for the busy, gigging musician, the no-nonsense Yamaha CK61 stage keyboard keeps things clear, simple and stunningly effective. Basically, if you just don't have the time or inclination to take a deep dive into over-complex menus and controls and just want to quickly dial in your specifics and hit the keys, this model won't disappoint. In fact, whether you're working in a band or busking, this keyboard will accommodate, since it not only features built-in speakers, but can run on batteries.

The Yamaha CK61 Stage Keyboard

The CK61 combines three different sound categories: organs, pianos and synths. And if you opt for one of the organs, you get the same familiar quality of sound as the Reface YC, and the registers can be set via drawbars. Over on the right, the most essential global parameters, including an AR envelope and a filter as well as reverb and other effects can be set, keeping things swift and to-the-point. In all, you're getting 363 high-grade sounds to play with plus 160 live set sounds, and all of it is accessed via a tight and satisfying set of controls, fully optimised for the stage.
