General

The Kurzweil SP4-7 is the successor to the highly popular SP76, which combines world-class Kurzweil sound quality with unparalleled affordability and mobility. The SP4-7 features the same sound set as the highly successful PC3 series of professional keyboards. These sounds are now available to more keyboardists than ever before thanks to this compact, lightweight and easy-to-use instrument.

Good things come in small packages

Kurzweil understands that many musicians want a keyboard that is compact and lightweight, but don't want to sacrifice sound, functionality or performance. The SP4-7 has the smallest possible footprint, which means you're the one who will be in the spotlight, not your keyboard.

Quick and easy setup

Thanks to its intelligently-designed user interface, setting up the SP4-7 has been made as easy as possible. Its most important functions are exactly where you want them to be. Splits and layers can be made at the push of a button, presets and setups can be selected using easily accessible categories and program controls, and effects parameters can be adjusted quickly. Everything has been made easy so that you can get on with what you do best: playing.

No compromises

The SP4-7 may be Kurweil's most affordable keyboard right now, but that doesn't mean they've cut any corners when it comes to sound. In fact, it features 128 hand-picked programs that come directly from its renowned PC3 series, giving you the best sounds from each category. That includes the famous Triple Strike Grand Piano, classic electric pianos, full string and orchestra instruments, as well as basses, guitars, wind and brass instruments, percussion and drums. They've even included their own KB3 organs with all the KB3's parameters accessible via external MIDI control. If that's still not enough, it's even possible to load programs created on the PC3 and PC3LE keyboards on to the SP4-7. Its 16-part multitimbral architecture makes the SP4-7 a powerful tool for making music with an external sequencer or DAW.

The icing on the cake

As well as programs from the PC3, the SP4-7 has dozens of professional-quality FX chains from the PC3 series too. You get everything from flawless concert hall reverbs and sharp delays to powerful distortion and amp simulation effects to add extra depth and realism to your sound. The most popular effects parameters have been mapped to the Timbre knob so that you can easily customise them without having to go in to the menus.

Tips or comments about this product
  • The SP4-7 is only capable of loading programs within the confines of the DSP resources.
  • Please note: this product comes with a KP-3 sustain pedal.

Licht gewicht.
