Kurzweil SP1 Stage Piano
Product no: 9000-0042-2339 Bax Music Warranty: This product comes with a 3-year warranty.

General

Kurzweil designed the SP1 for music lovers of all ages and it's perfect for practising, home recording and even small gigs. This stage piano has 16 top-quality sounds on board divided over four different sound categories. Pianos include Kurzweil's renowned German D Artis Grand and there are electric pianos from the Forte SE. There are string, wind and brass instruments too as well as an organ, a clav and synth pads. Each section has its own volume control. The SP1 is equipped with an 88-note fully-weighted hammer-action keyboard that feels just like the keys on an acoustic piano.

Operation

Using the reverb, chorus, tremolo and delay effects you can enhance all of the sounds. It's also possible to combine sounds using the layer function or give different sections of the keyboard different sounds using the split function. The SP1 has a polyphony of 256 voices so it's highly doubtful you'll miss a note no matter how fast you play. You can save 5 of your favourite sounds and recall them instantly at the touch of a button. A dedicated external control section allows you to control MIDI instruments and software directly from the SP1. There are transpose controls on the front panel too, just above the pitch and modulation wheels.

Connectors

The SP1 has various connectors on board including MIDI inputs and outputs and two USB ports. One of the USB ports is meant for storage while the other can be used for MIDI and to connect a computer. There are inputs for a volume pedal and a sustain pedal too and a pedal is included. Finally, there are dual analogue inputs and outputs as well as a headphone socket.

Kurzweil SP1 Stage Piano
Wrote the following about Kurzweil SP1 Stage Piano
