General

The Kurzweil Artis is a stage piano with a capital P! Years of careful sampling and optimising have resulted in the Artis' glorious German Grand Piano mode. Besides that, you'll also find that the Artis is equipped with the best sounds from the PC3K and KORE 64 expansion module, including countless wind instruments, synths, guitars and organs. Its great sound and the Fatar TP-1000 keyboard will make you feel like you're playing a real piano.

Construction of the Artis

Playing the Artis is sure to bring a smile to your face, thanks to its fantastic Fatar keyboard with 88 fully-weighted keys. Furthermore, the Artis features plenty of controls: a pitch wheel, a modulation wheel, a pad switch and KB3 tone wheel emulation. There are nine sliders that allow you to control the classic B-3, Vox and Farfisa organs in real time. Moreover, the blue LCD display gives you a clear overview of your current settings, while the intuitive controls allow you to create the perfect sound in no time.

Worthy competitor to the virtual piano

Amongst that veritable plethora of superb sounds, however, the German Grand stands out of the crowd. It's so incredibly well sampled that it can hold its own against any of the most popular virtual pianos, without suffering from issues such as latency, buffer settings, overload and everything else that can go wrong. Simply press the key and enjoy its glorious sound.
