General

With the CabClone, Mesa Boogie offers the ideal alternative to cabinet miking. This rugged case is a high-quality cabinet simulator and loadbox in one. Thanks to the CabClone's internal Amp Load you can connect the speaker output (8 ohms) on your tube amp directly to a mixer, USB interface or recorder. You don't even need to connect your cabinet! With the headphone output, the CabClone is the perfect solution for silent recording and practise sessions, at home or in the studio.

Mesa Boogie Cab Clone: Direct Out and Cabinet Simulator

The rear of the CabClone has a balanced XLR output with the level set by the D.I. via a knob that is adjustable from -30 to +4 dB. This means that the CabClone can be connected to various inputs and the signal optimised for microphones, instruments or line inputs. Mesa Boogie's CabClone's speaker simulation offers three popular voicings: open-back, closed-back and vintage closed-back. With it you can create the perfect guitar sound with any amp in any situation.

Live speaker monitoring

For live performances the CabClone has a thru output. Connecting your speaker cabinet will mean that you then get the same guitar sound as you are used to on stage. At the same time the signal can be sent directly to the PA mixer. There is also a +4dB line output plus a ground lift and phase reversal for the D.I. output. A tilt-back stand is delivered with the Mesa Boogie Cab Clone so that you can even place it on amplifiers that have a handle on top. The CabClone is available in this 8-ohm version, as well as a 4 and 16-ohm version.
