General
This speaker set is perfect for DJs who are just starting out. The set consists of a powerful Devine D-600 class D amplifier (2x 540 watts), two Devine Artis 12 passive speakers (300 watts each), two Devine SPE15/10 10-metre long speaker cables, and the Innox IVA03 speaker stand kit with bag. Now all you need to decide on is what music you want to play and you're good to go.
D-600: small amp with a big sound
This class D amplifier might be lightweight, but it's also powerful. Instead of traditional transformers, this amp uses a clever, switched-mode power supply that keeps its weight light. An added advantage of this is that more power can be supplied when needed, or switched to a lower level when less power is required. The D600 can operate, therefore, at 2x 540 watts at 4 ohms or 1x 1,080 watts at 8 ohms. A switched mode power supply also mean less heat is generated. Because of this, it only has two small fans that are virtually silent.
Artis 12: complete speaker
You can't do much with an amplifier on its own. Fortunately, this set also comes with two Devine Artis 12's. These passive speakers have an output of 300 watts, and are fitted with a 12-inch woofer for the bass and a PH-04 tweeter with a 1.34-inch exit. They are suitable for music, as well as vocals and speech. For easy transport, the speakers have a handle on the side. The 35-mm tripod flanges allow you to mount the speakers on the included Innox IVA03 speaker stands securely. The

Does this compare to a QSC or a Crown? No, not at all, but neither of them do a sub-£200 amplifier. If you want a decent amp and don't have a lot of money to spend, I really don't think you can go far wrong.
So why the loss of one star? The frequency response of these amplifiers seems somewhat unpredictable across the audio spectrum when they're bridged. So with that in mind; if you need an amplifier that delivers 1000W per channel into an 8ohm load (full range) I don't think this amplifier is for you...
