RCF EVOX 8 - V2 White Active 2-Way Array Sound System

General

The pillar speaker is making a solid comeback, and here, RCF present a tight speaker system based on the line array principle, making it possible to achieve increased range with less power. RCF is already renowned for developing high-grade speakers able to deliver fresh, punchy sound, and that's exactly what we're getting with the EVOX 8. This system is composed of a subwoofer and satellite speaker, which can be nested together into a compact unit during transport. Don't be fooled by its size, however, because this is one serious PA system.

The RCF EVOX 8 Sound System

The line-array set-up is built by the carefully aligned set of eight two-inch speakers that have been mounted into the housing of the satellite so it's able to serve as a line source. Meanwhile, the subwoofer has been equipped with a 12-inch woofer and 2.5-inch voice coil and provides the foundation for the column, so the satellite can be neatly mounted on top. This PA delivers an impressive 120° horizontal and 30" vertical audio spread to absolutely ensure that the entire audience is treated to great sound.

Amplification

This complete system is powered by a muscular amplifier with a 1,400 Watt peak and a maximum SPL of 128dBs. The bi-amplified configuration feeds the sub and satellite separately so you're assured of optimal performance, while the internal DSP allows crossover frequency adjustments, EQ balancing, and provides a host of helpful options and features, while a built-in limiter prevents system overload.
