General
The Electro Voice ELX 12 is a passive sound system with 1,200 watts of power. It consists of two ELX 112 full-range cabinets, two ELX 118 subwoofers, a Q66II amplifier and two ASP 1 distance rods. This is an ideal sound system for singer-songwriters and bands, for instance, looking to amplify smaller locations with a mature sound, such as small theatres and cafes. It's equally suited for speakers who need to amplify smaller rooms at schools, conference halls and houses of worship, for example. This system features a rugged construction that has been kept lightweight for optimal ease of transport.
ELX 112 full-range speaker
This 12-inch wooden cabinet delivers a tight, full, warm sound. You can easily connect it with the subwoofers or amplifier via the Neutrik SpeakOn connectors. Thanks to its clear sound with a healthy dose of bass, this ELX 112 is suited for reproducing both music and speech. All in all, the ELX 112 is a rugged, reliable speaker that sounds great and looks nice too!
ELX 118 subwoofer
This passive subwoofer offers up to 400 watts of continuous power and has the same robust, luxurious finish as the ELX 112. The woofer is protected by a metal grille, and sturdy metal handles make is possible to carry the sub, which shouldn't be a problem - even on your own - considering it only weighs 30 kg. This ELX 118 delivers rich, tight bass frequencies, and in combination with a full-range speaker such as the ELX 112 you've got the entire frequency spectrum covered. Finally, the built-in crossover makes it easy to connect a set of satellite speakers, and you won't even need any extra processors!
Q66-II amplifier
This Q66-II amplifier by Electro Voice is a 2-channel amplifier that can deliver two times 500 watts of continuous power. It is equipped with a comprehensive safety system that keeps your speakers safe from internal harm. The Q66-II is designed to be easily and safely mounted in a 19-inch rack, and is two units high. This lightweight amplifier makes your speakers and subwoofers sound like they're supposed to: clear, detailed and mature. Two adjustable ASP 1 distance rods complete the set by offering a reliable way of mounting your full-range satellites to your subwoofers.

Rampzalig product. past gewoon niet goed op de ev subs. Onbegrijpelijk dat een bax dit durft te verkopen.
Dit is ook geen origineel ev product. Materiaal is te dun en de knevel is van zeer goedkoop plastic.

De luidspreker is zeer robuust en van kwalitatieve materialen gemaakt. Eén kleine klacht bij deze luidspreker: ik zou aan beide kanten een handvat voorzien. Dit zou het veel makkelijker maken om deze op te tillen. Dit kleine minpuntje verandert echter uiteraard niets aan de goede geluidskwaliteit.
Op zeer kleine podia is het niet zo handig dat hij zo groot is. Er blijft dan namelijk niet veel ruimte meer over voor de rest van het materiaal van de band. Voor grotere zalen is hij ideaal, maar voor kleine ruimtes zou ik toch een kleiner model verkiezen.
De prijs-kwaliteitverhouding is zeer goed van deze luidspreker. Verder zijn het hele nette speakers die een professionele uitstraling hebben, je kunt ze ook gemakkelijk vervoeren omdat de speakers lichtgewicht zijn. Ik gebruik ze zelf voor zowel monitor als FOH en durf er ook een bandje op te mixen.
