Pantera's Dimebag Darrell used Randall amps when recording their best albums and Metallica's Kirk Hammett is also a fervent user of Randall amps. Laney's guitar and bass guitar amplifiers are known for their pure sound. By now, the British company has already issued a wide range of great products, but with the new GHR series - two tube heads, a tube combo and matching GS cabinets - they're certainly hitting a new high. The preamp and power amp are especially note-worthy.

The Peavey 6505 series is widely acclaimed, but apparently the amp manufacturer still felt something was missing from the lineup. That's why they've added two new products to the range. One is called the Piranha Micro Head, a 20W hybrid top that can practically fit into your jacket pocket. The other is the Guitar Subwoofer, a cabinet with an 18" speaker and 300 watts of power to beef up the low end. Together, they're a great pair.
