Continuously innovating, Yamaha presents the Venova YVS-100: a unique wind instrument made from ABS resin, which doesn't just keep the weight ultra-low, but boosts both the durability and the comfort. While the fingering is as easily navigated as that of a recorder, the sounds comes closer to that of a saxophone - all thanks to the mouthpiece, which houses a single synthetic reed, supporting full and expressive playability. This model may be smaller than a soprano saxophone, but it still harnesses a two-octave range alongside surprisingly rich and layered sound.
The Yamaha Venova YVS-100: Extra Features
The mouthpiece is probably the most familiar looking part of the Venova YVS-100, which makes sense, since it's essentially the same as the mouthpiece of a soprano saxophone. From there, this singular instrument presents a completely new approach for beginners who have already mastered the recorder, but still offers something familiar and unique - all in one shot. To finish, Yamaha has included a mouthpiece and a synthetic reed, as well as a hard case so you can easily carry this singular instrument to lessons and rehearsals in comfort.
