This 14 x 8-inch snare drum in Red Burgundy Walnut is part of Tama's STAR Walnut series. As far as its looks and sound go, it's the perfect addition to a STAR Walnut shell set in the same finish. It's the perfect snare drum for rock and metal drummers, as high volumes call for a lot of air displacement. And with its 8-inch depth, this snare drum has a much bigger dynamic reach than a shallow drum would have. So tell your guitar player to step up his game, and get a bigger amp.

This 14 x 8-inch snare drum offers the ideal balance between highs and lows, and between attack and sustain, thanks to its die-cast hoops. These hoops enhance the shell's focus even further and ensure that your rimshots and rimclicks pierce through any mix. If you tune this snare drum nice and low, it produces a fat slap, and if you crank it up it has a beautifully dry crack.

Lightweight and heavy sound

Its appearance may suggest differently, but as it's made of walnut, this gorgeous snare drum is quite lightweight. Especially touring drummers will be happy to hear that. Furthermore, walnut gives the drum a very distinct sound. Its reach is comparable to that of the maple and bubinga models, but it has a more vintage sound. Mooie warme snare met volle sound. Afwerking is top. Komt met Tama stemsleutel. Midhoog tot hoog komt deze het beste tot zijn recht. Aangezien ik meer laag had verwacht, gaat er 1 ster af.
