Boasting a 15 x 8-inch size, the Tama TMBS158S-OCOB was clearly designed with a 'Go Big or Go Home' approach in mind. This incredible Star Reserve Series snare is deep, loud and really good-looking! Its defined sound stems from a shell made from combination of bubinga and maple and finished with Brass Mighty hoops to tie the tone together. No matter how you tune it, this snare doesn't lack in presence and packs the kind of projection that can be felt. Turn off the snare, and you can even use it as a floor tom if you so desire!

Incredibly, it’s been exactly 110 years since the German-American brothers William F. and Theobald Ludwig opened their first drum store, bearing the name ‘Ludwig & Ludwig’. The brothers started making bass drum pedals and soon expanded their production to include snare drums, kettle drums and every other flavour of drums and the rest is history, as they say.
