The Tama Metalworks MT1440DBN is a 14 x 4-inch snare drum with a 1.2mm steel shell that is fitted with triple-flanged hoops. This combination allows for maximum performance.

With its dark Black Nickel finish, die-cast hoops and Black Chrome batter head, this snare drum is striking, to say the least. It should be no surprise that the Metalworks snares are popular amongst the drumming crowd, but it has more than just its looks to thank for that. It has a distinct sound that really hits the sweet spot. It's not too sharp, and not too soft! Furthermore, the snare owes its clear sound and great attack to the well-thought-out combination of materials; such as the steel shell, the high-quality Evans drumheads, the robust hardware and the MS20R14S Tama Snappy Snares.
