While John Tempesta won't necessarily ring a bell for every member of the human race, that doesn't shake the fact that he's managed to amass perhaps the most extensive CV of any Heavy Metal drummer. Beginning his career as a drum-tech for Anthrax, Tempesta has since played with names like Exodus, Testament, Rob Zombie, and even The Cult. A known endorser for Tama, he finally adds his unique magic touch to his very own signature snare.

The Tama JT147 John Tempesta Signature Snare

With an imposing 14-inch diameter and near-bottomless depth of 7-inches, this brass-shelled snare has been finished with mean black nickel with matching hardware and sounds as dangerous as it looks. This snare delivers an intensely deep and formidably powerful sound that's definitely made for heavier, harder work. The shell is 2mm thick and comes fitted with Tama's own Die-Cast tension hoops and a MS42R14S snare mat with 42 snare wires.
