General

With their Masters Custom BCX series, Pearl delivers high quality shell sets for a very attractive price. Of course, a matching snare drum would be a fantastic addition to such a shell set. For drummers who are the proud owners of a BCX Lava Bubinga shell set, or who are contemplating the purchase of one, this Masters Custom BCX 14 x 6.5-inch snare drum is the perfect candidate to complete your kit. The snare is made of birch, which gives it a warm, clear tone.

Pearl Masters Custom BCX1465S-C818 snare drum: hardware

The Pearl Masters Custom snare drum, with its beautiful Lava Bubinga finish, comes with chrome MasterCast hoops. The rest of the hardware has also been finished in chrome. The BCX1465S-C818 snare is equipped with ten lugs, S-022N 20-strand snare wires and an SR-017 snare strainer. Of course, all these parts live up to the high standards that we've come to expect from Pearl products. The 6-ply birch shell is 7.5mm thick, and its 6.5-inch depth makes this snare excellently suited for a variety of musical styles.

Pearl's SST technology

This uses extreme heat, precision cutting, Pearl's own Acoustiglue and hydraulic pressure to create the ultimate acoustic air chamber. The result is a shell with superior tonal qualities, optimal resonance and extreme durability.
