The PDP Drums Concept Series PDCMX5514 Maple Exotic snare drum features a fairly unique shell construction where ten plies of European maple combine with two outer plies of mahogany veneer, resulting in a slightly darker timbre than standard. To ensure extra tuning stability, this 14 by 5.5-inch snare has been finished with high-quality shell hardware from DW, including DW True Pitch tension rods and a DW True Pitch tension rods.
