General
The Warbird is the second signature snare drum that Lamb of God drummer Chris Adler developed with Mapex. After the success of the previous model, they fitted this Black Panther snare with some new features. At its core, it's a 12 x 5.5-inch shell made of six plies of walnut and maple, with a beautiful engraved image on the outside. It offers an intense, dark sound when you tune it low, and an energetic, explosive sound when you crank it up. Moreover, this is the first Black Panther snare that is fitted with the new, rounded SONIClear bearing edges for the optimal transferral of vibrations from the drumhead to the shell.
Other hardware
The Warbird is fitted with Sonic Saver hoops that have a unique profile which helps spare your sticks and improve the snare drum's response and rim shots. Furthermore, it's equipped with a Black Panther strainer that ensures the tension on the snare wires remains stable. Chris Adler himself picked out the heads and snare wires for this snare drum, ensuring it has a powerful, quick sound. As an added bonus, the Warbird also comes with a signed picture booklet.

Een snare met veel body, goede attack en een mooie korte sustain.
Zeer makkelijk te stemmen, zowel laag als hoog.
Standaard slagvel vervangen door Remo powerstroke 3, waardoor hij iets droger wordt en zodanig beter naast mijn main snare, Ludwig black magic 13 x 7 brass of Mapex blaster 13 x 7 maple, klinkt.
Throwoff van Mapex is gewoon zeer goed en het gekozen snarenmatje is zeer doeltreffend op deze snare.
Zeer tevreden.
