Ludwig has been making drums made of copper for around 100 years so it's fair to say they know what they're doing! Ludwig's LC660K Copper Phonic snare drum measures 14 x 5 inches and has a copper shell that is 1.2 mm thick. It's equipped with 2.3 mm steel triple flanged hoops and 10 Imperial lugs that ensure a focused sound. Thanks to its wide tuning range, this snare drum is perfect for any style of music.

Incredibly, it’s been exactly 110 years since the German-American brothers William F. and Theobald Ludwig opened their first drum store, bearing the name ‘Ludwig & Ludwig’. The brothers started making bass drum pedals and soon expanded their production to include snare drums, kettle drums and every other flavour of drums and the rest is history, as they say.
