General

Are you interested in purchasing a Vintage Build Classic Bop of Classic Jazz shell set? Check out the rejuvenated Gretsch Drums Broadkaster series! Of course such a gorgeous, legendary drum kit deserves a matching snare. This Vintage Build 14 x 5-inch snare drum is the perfect match for your vintage shell set with Satin Copper Mist. The shell of the snare consists of two plies of maple with a ply of poplar in between, guaranteeing a full, warm tone. You can also use the 5-inch deep snare for other configurations, such as the Classic Heritage (rock fusion) or Classic Bomber (rock) shell sets.

Vintage Build 14 x 5-inch snare drum Satin Copper Mist

The shell of the Broadkaster Vintage Build Satin Copper Mist 14 x 5-inch snare drum has a 30-degree bearing edge that is angled toward the interior - a technique that ensures a wide tonal range and maximises attack and projection. The thin hybrid shell is reinforced by means of an interior-ply scarf joint. The 3mm-thick 302 double-flanged hoops of the snare are nearly identical to the Stick Chopper hoops from the 1950s, but are made from a more rugged type of steel, resulting in a more open sound than a die-cast hoop would deliver. Additionally, the 302 hoops add more ambient overtones to the overall sound of the snare.

Vintage

This Broadkaster snare drum almost breathes vintage, featuring classic lugs, Vintage Diamond plates and a Gretsch Microsensitive throw-off. A particularly practical gizmo is the Gretsch G5447MT snap-in key holder that safely holds your drum key for you after you're done tuning up. The Satin Copper Mist 14-inch snare drum is adorned with the familiar copper Gretsch USA Round Badge, and comes with Remo drumheads that feature the Gretsch logo.

Limited Edition Gretsch Jim Dandy

Wednesday 9 March 2016 By Richard | Bax Music

That the Gretsch G9500 Jim Dandy is still as popular as ever is no surprise. It's a lovely, attractively priced parlour-style guitar that makes you think of the early Delta Blues. An instrument like this really doesn't need to be changed. Gretsch do bring out limited editions of this model in different colours every now and then however, just like this G9500 Jim Dandy Barn Wood Burst.
