Remo is a premium player in the world of drumheads, and counts many famous drummers amongst its fans. Two of the more famous names are Blink 182's Travis Barker and Linkin Park's Rob Bourdon. Of course, they're Remo fans for good reason: the brand has plenty of experience in the field of drumming and percussion hardware. The Emperor series of drumheads comes in two different varieties. This coated variety is equipped with two plies of 0.178mm Mylar film. Thanks to the two plies of Mylar, this type of drumhead offers a warmer sound than its clear cousins.

Wrote the following about Remo BE-0113-00 Emperor Coated 13-inch drumhead

Zeer goed vel. Mooi afgewerkt zoals altijd bij Remo. Klinkt heel goed. Ideaal voor pop/rock. Het vel heeft genoeg punch/attack en power maar heeft ook een lange sustain. Gaat ook nog eens lang mee. Deze vellen klinken ten opzichte van de (gewone Emperor) clear vellen wat 'warmer'. Aanrader!

Ik heb toch weer een remo coated emperor aangeschaft, omdat ik de klank zo mooi vind. De reden van twijfel is de coating die er te snel af gaat. Moet remo echt iets aan doen. Evans lonkt!!
