General

2024 is the year in which Tama turns 50 and, to celebrate, the distinguished Japanese maker of drum kits and drum hardware launches this special Iron Cobra 900 Power Glide Pedal with Marble Psychedelic Rainbow finish. Featuring a wider frame and baseplate as well as the new Power Strike Cobra beater, this upgraded single kick pedal boasts improved sound, impact, stability and response when compared to the previous generation. Finally, no more side-to-side wobble or footplate squeaks!

Tama Iron Cobra 900 Power Glide Limited Edition

The Para Clamp II Pro ensures a secure attachment to the bass drum hoop and won't leave any scratches or come loose during playing thanks to the use of rubber. To improve the action, Tama clearly took another look at the successful Speed Cobra Series. The same Lite Sprocket can now be found on all the new Iron Cobra models and improves the action, while the Swivel Spring Tight system allows the base of the spring to swivel with the pedal's movement for a more natural feel and optimal smoothness. It's also worth mentioning that this pro-level pedal comes complete with a specially designed hardcase.

Rolling Glide or Power Glide?

You're probably wondering what the difference is between a Power Glide and a Rolling Glide pedal. The difference lies in how the beater hits the drum. With a Power Glide pedal, the cam gives the beater some extra speed just before hitting the drumhead, increasing the action which can be useful for pop, rock and metal drummers. If you prefer drum bass pedals with a more uniform speed, a Rolling Glide pedal is a better pick for you.
