In situations where you need to send your mic signal to different outputs, the Behringer Ultralink MS8000 splitter comes in very handy indeed. It's a top-quality passive 1U rack module that is suitable for use on stage as well as in the studio.
Possibilities of the Behringer Ultralink MS8000
This device has eight XLR inputs and sixteen XLR outputs, which is ideal for a small ensemble, or an instrument that needs to be recorded or amplified with multiple microphones. The Ultralink features ground-lift and phantom power support per channel.
Input link
The Behringer MS8000's input link is an interesting feature. Normally, the mic signal that's plugged into channel 1, for instance, is sent over two outputs in the rear. By using input link to link the adjacent channel, you can utilise the 2 corresponding outputs of that channel as well. In other words, per audio source, you have a minimum of two and a maximum of four outputs at your disposal if you're willing to sacrifice one channel. In link mode, you can mix two linked sources so both are sent to all (four) outputs. Essentially, this is a passive mix, and you can adjust the levels of the incoming source yourself.

Hier hoef je zeker geen duurdere versie van te kopen. Geen signaal verlies of storing te bekennen.
De splitter is zo compact dat als je deze in een 19 inch rack hebt zetten dat je de achterkant wat moeilijk kunt bereiken. Ik gebruik de splitter in een rack voor live opnames, waarbij de inputs worden gesplitst voor naar de audio interface en naar de zaal mixer. De audiointerface is standaard al aangesloten in het rack., maar ik denk dat ik voor het doorsturen naar de zaalmixer nog wat XLR connectors in een 19 inch plaat aan de achterkant van mijn rack zet.
