This Sony ECM-678 is a short shotgun microphone with an electret (a hybrid of electric and magnetic) condenser capsule. Its audio performance is outstanding, making it an ideal microphone for production and studio applications. The ECM-678 takes your audio to a new level! Combined with the HDV, DVCAM and XDCAM camcorder series by Sony, this shotgun microphone performs excellently as well.

Versatile in any situation

Featuring a dynamic range of no less than 111 dB, the ECM-678 is capable of registering even the most subtle sounds. As such, it provides you with a versatile tool for nearly any situation - this shotgun mic is even able to do its job properly in the noisiest of surroundings. To make sure that all unwanted (wind) noise can be eliminated, the condenser microphone is equipped with a built-in low-cut filter. If you're making professional recordings that require marvelous sound, the Sony ECM-678 condenser shotgun microphone is really the only way to go.
