With the Tama Starclassic WBS52RZS five-piece, you're not just getting the warm tone and defined attack of a set of walnut and birch hybrid shells, but the bigger sound of an extra floor tom on the side. The smart shell construction sandwiches two plies of American black walnut between four plies of birch to ensure sonic balance and, since the toms are mounted on top of the kick drum via Tama's in-house developed Star-Cast system, they're secured via the hoops, allowing the shells to resonate freely. Polished off with a set of Air Pocket floor tom legs so you can get the best sound out of both floor toms, this shell set can help build a formidable and versatile kit. This edition comes in Dark Raspberry.
