General
While mainly aimed at pop and rock, just a couple of small tweaks will prep this 4-piece Tama Starclassic Maple shell set for virtually any style. Made of maple, each shell packs punchy sound, clear attack and strong projection, but also boasts the large tuning range needed to support any all-around drummer.
Tama MR42TZS-ROY Starclassic Maple Red Oyster 4-Piece Shell Set
The included shells are a 22 by 16-inch kick, a 16 by 16-inch floor tom, and two hanging toms sized 10 by 7-inch and 12 by 8-inch. The bass drum features a 7mm shell made of eight plies of maple, while the toms have 5mm-thick walls that are made up of six layers. All shells sport a Red Oyster wrap and come polished off with the Star-Cast mounting system, Quick-Lock Tom Brackets and Die-Cast hoops. So the floor tom can resonate freely, Tama also include floating floor tom legs.
