General
For over four decades, Tama have been producing Superstar kits, so rather than re-invent the wheel, they've simply taken the much-loved Superstar formula and improved on it again and again, by adding modern tweaks to the construction and hardware while never straying too far from the original range. Every shell included in this five-piece Superstar Classic set has been stamped with a throwback-style T-shaped badge and fitted with small '70s-style lugs. Each shell wall has been made from maple to shape full and powerful, muscular sound that can be adapted to any playing style. This 5-piece pack comes set up with a 22 x 16-inch bass drum, a 10 x 7 and 12 x 8-inch tom, a 16 x 14-inch floor tom and a 14 x 6.5-inch snare, each of which come in a Gloss Lacebark Pine Fade finish.
The Tama CL52KRS-PGLP Superstar Classic
An enhanced set of drums demands enhanced tech to match, and as such, a Star Mount tom mount comes included. With it, the mounting points are positioned between the slimline lugs so they make as little contact with the shell as possible. This not only looks neat but noticeably improves resonance. The ball joint of this smart tom mount system also easy and accurate positioning while the included Power Craft II drum heads gift these shells with great sound virtually out of the box, and since the kick drum comes ready-fitted with dampening rings, you won't even need any extra mufflers.
