General
The Mapex Mars Birch shell set features a compact, 4-piece bebop configuration that includes a wee, 18 by 14-inch kick drum, plus a 10-inch rack tom, a 14-inch floor tom, and a 14 by 5-inch snare drum. Perfect for setting up in small pubs and clubs, this shell set is no plaything but a serious option for gigging drummers who simply can't or don't want to take up too much space. The 6-ply, 7.2mm-thick birch shells pack surprisingly punchy sound for their size and have been outfitted with SONIClear hoops for consistent tension. Mapex's Mars Birch Series shell sets are available in various sparkle-style finishes.
