Made from cherry wood and maple, this Ludwig NeuSonic Series three-piece lays down a heady blend of warmth and clarity to complete a brilliantly balanced sonic character backed up by an ultra-dynamic tuning range. As well as adaptable, these shells are surprisingly lightweight, making life far easier for jobbing drummers with a busy tour schedule. The 22 inch edition includes a 22 inch by 16 inch bass drum, a 12 inch by 8 inch tom and a 16 inch by 16 inch floor tom, each wrapped in a retro Skyline Blue.

Cherry Maple Hybrid Shells

The six-ply shell construction is made of three inner plies of cherry wood - a detail that you'd usually only get with a far more expensive set of shells. The use of cherry wood results in a warm and articulate tone framed by a clear high-end and a punching low-end. Three outer plies of maple finish the build and not only strengthen the shell, but help enhance the sonic quality of the cherry wood. In terms of hardware, each shell has been finished off with the Triad Isolating mounting system to ensure minimal contact and optimal resonance, while a full set of Mini Classic lugs and Ludwig's signature Keystone badges polish everything off.
