General

The VOX HDC-99 Sunburst belongs to the cream of the VOX crop. VOX's 99-series of electric guitars features semi-hollow bodies with sound holes, making them the very first round, deep-sounding semi-acoustic instruments. These guitars also features the same incredibly versatile CoAxe pickups that you'll find in the 77 series, but with a more vintage sound. Of course you can switch - per pickup - between single coil, P90 and humbucker for a wide variety of sounds. Furthermore, the HDC-99 has an ebony fretboard for an audibly more direct sound.

HDC-99 Sunburst: style and comfort

It's no secret that having a comfortable instrument is vital if you want to play long sessions. That's why the body of the VOX HDC99 Sunburst is not only tasteful with its beautiful flamed maple top, but also carefully arched so the guitar rests comfortably against your body. Moreover, the decorative cutouts and streamlined heel ensure that your left hand has plenty of room to reach the higher frets. Finally, thanks to the additions of the richly resonant MaxConnect bridge and VOX Super Smooth tuners, the intonation of the HDC99 can be adjusted in great detail. This guitar comes with a case.
