The Ibanez AM2000H puts all of that Artstar Series thinline semi-acoustic vibe in an even more compact model and, since this is the Prestige edition, it also breathes the high-precision Japanese build quality that Ibanez is so renowned for. The slimmer body shape ensures an easier transition from a standard solid bodied electric to a hollow-body, while the AM Artstar neck profile teams up with a deluxe ebony fretboard with a flat 12 inch radius to complete a snug and reliable feel in the fret-hand. The set of twenty-two medium frets have also been given the exclusive Prestige fret-edge treatment to ensure smooth comfort all the way up the neck, and the three-piece neck construction combines super-stable S-Tech Roasted maple with two pieces of African mahogany. To boost resonance, the neck has also been firmly set into the body.

The arched top as well as the back and sides have been made from figured anigre, which doesn't just lend this guitar its vintage charm, but adds a touch of bite to the acoustic mid-range. The warm and resonant, woody foundation is then amplified with old-school warmth by two medium-output Super 58 dual-coil pickups, both of which come backed up by dedicated tone and volume controls as well as a three-way switch. To finish, stable tuning and intonation is assured by high-quality Gotoh hardware, including a 510BN bridge and matching Gotoh machine heads, and an Ibanez-developed AM-H Special tailpiece completes the load-out.
