General

Hofner brings back the olden days with their Verythin series hollow-body guitars. The HCT-VTH-R is a reissue of the classic Verithin semi-acoustic guitars from the sixties. The Verythin CT (Contemporary) is characterised by a very thin body of just 32 millimetres, giving it the same level of playing comfort as a solid-body electric guitar, despite its fairly large size. It features several classic details, including Hofner's traditional striped position markers.

Hofner Verythin CT: less feedback, more sustain

The neck, top, sides and back of the Verythin CT are made of Flamed Maple, brandishing a transparent red lacquer. The top and back are arched for added strength, which gives them a beautiful look in the process. Within the hollow body is a solid spruce centre block - a wooden beam to lengthen sustain, reduce feedback and create deeper intonation. Thanks to its construction and wood types the Hofner Verythin CT is surprisingly loud with a clear tone.

Pickups and hardware

The Verythin CT is equipped with two of Hofner's full-size humbucker pickups so that it produces a wide spectrum of tones, ranging from zesty blues to straightforward rock distortion, in addition to the unique '39s sound. Each pickup has its own volume and tone adjustment to optimally control the sound of your guitar. The hardware of the Verythin CT comprises a fully adjustable Tune-O-Matic bridge with a tailpiece and a set of fancy self-lubricating tuners with mother-of-pearl peg heads.
