General

Numerous pop music greats play or have played Starfire model guitars over the past 40 years, as Guild have constructed various generations of these illustrious guitars. This Starfire V semi-hollow body with Bigsby tremolo arm belongs to the vintage-styled Newark St. Collection series and is finished in glossy Snowcrest White. It features stunning, decorative details such as the two f-shaped sound holes and the snazzy-shaped, Opaque Plexi-pickguard with Guild logo.

Guild Starfire V: Construction

The Starfire's body is made of laminated mahogany, with an arched top and back and ivory-coloured bindings. Due to its mahogany construction and semi-open sound chamber, this Guild guitar delivers a warm and rich foundation sound. To go beyond that base sound, it's been fitted with the Bigsby B70 vibrato system, including tail piece, and an adjustable Adjusto-Matic bridge with rosewood base that lets you set the optimal sound balance. The Starfire V's comfortable, 'soft-U' neck , rosewood fretboard with 22 frets and pearloid block inlays further complete this wonderful piece of musical machinery.

Electronics

The two Guild Anti-Hum dual-coil pickups effortlessly produce warm, subtle tones that sure don't mind going down the rough and dirty road either, rendering the Starfire V well-suited for blues, rock and roots. Next to the individual volume and tone controls per pickup, there's a master volume knob and an orange-coloured 3-way pick up switch positioned under the pickguard. This legendary Starfire comes complete with a sturdy, plush guitar case and with it, you'll be part of a rich tradition!
