General

The outstanding Guild A-150 Savoy Black is a hollow-body semi-acoustic guitar that will surprise even experienced guitarists with its warm sound and beautiful design. Guild combined their 1950s hollow-body orchestra model with an arched DeArmond Rhythm Chief 1000 pickup to create this beauty, and because the pickup is mounted in the neck (not the body) this guitar has a very unique timbre.

A-150 Black: a Newark guitar

Each and every guitar in the Newark St. Collection is based on instruments from Guild Guitars' rich history. As such, they look just like the originals on which they're based, for a classy '50s or '60s vibe. The playing comfort has been improved however, so modern guitarists can also enjoy these nods to the past. The black model you see here is a special take on the classic A-150 Savoy.

Solid top and chic details

The warm, rich, bright core sound of the A-150 Savoy is created by a solid arched spruce top. The neck also adds a lot to the great sound quality, thanks to the strong 3-ply mahogany and maple design. You'll enjoy stable tuning thanks to the Grover Sta-Tite tuners, and a Chesterfield inlay on the headstock adds a touch of class, along with the elegant tailpiece and decorative pickguard. This guitar also comes with a case for safe storage and transport.
