With the G6136T-WHT, Gretsch answers the demand for a modern version of their legendary Falcon guitar. Due to its thinner body, this Players Edition Series' flagship is a lot more manageable than its bulky, 1950s counterpart, made possible by Gretsch' innovative new way to reinforce to top. This ML bracing, as it's called, ensures the guitar can still bring that fat, hollow-body sound despite being relatively thin. Other aspects have been modernised as well. The pickup configuration consists of two High Sensitive Filter'Trons, which bring together that famous Gretsch bite while carrying an accurate response to every single note you play. Gretsch has left its semblance untouched, since it's as strikingly tasteful as it is timeless.

Modern upgrades, vintage sound

The body of this elegantly white guitar is entirely made of maple, which lays down the base for that great Gretsch sound together with the maple neck and rosewood fretboard. Add to that the two High Sensitive Filter'trons and the party's almost complete. To top it off, Gretsch have fitted the G6136T with the coveted Bigsby Vibrato tailpiece as this string-through model makes replacing your strings considerably easier. Intonation is further enhanced via the TUSQ bridge saddle. It goes without saying this splendid instrument comes complete with a matching case.

Gretsch Players Editions

In 2016, Gretsch introduced two new series: the Golden Era Edition series is aimed at purists, while the Player Edition series is aimed at more pragmatic guitarists. While the latter still pays homage to Gretsch's great history, the models in this series also have modern design elements. That means thinner bodies thanks to the innovative Gretsch ML bracing which ensures that these models produce still have the same rich, full sound as their thicker counterparts. Other notable enhancements include the string-through Bigsby and a Fender 'no load' circuit.
