When it comes to the history of Gretsch' semi-acoustic guitars, the orange version played by late Chet Atkins is probably the well-known one. For those who prefer a thinner a body, there's the G6120T Players Edition Nashville. Naturally, this hollow-body has been Stained in Orange and you can't miss the fact Atkins was the one to turn this instrument into a legendary one, as proven by his signature on the pickguard. With its 2.25 inch or 57.15 mm thickness, this guitar still offers all the authentic sounds of the past!

Harmonically Balanced

Let's zoom in on the pickups. Both the neck and bridge positions feature a High Sensitive Filter'Tron humbucker famed for its bright but twangy sound and have individual volume controls. The tone control has been fitted with a No Load circuit which means that when all the way open, the circuit's fully disengaged so the maximum amount of sound is picked up. To add a little more feel to your playing, the string-thru Bigsby B6GP Vibrato is a sweet addition, which also allows you to quickly replace the strings.

Smooth Curves & Solid Features

The smooth and fluid curves of the G6120T have of course been taken from the original. Innovative ML bracing, however, has allowed for a smaller body that's still capable of true hollow-body tones. The body is completely constructed out of laminated maple, which in combination with the gilded hardware makes for a stunning look. The set-in neck is made from maple as well and features an ebony fretboard and 22 medium jumbo frets with Neo-Classic pearloid thumbnail position markers. For tuning stability, Gretsch have equipped the G6120T with a Graph Tech TUSQ XL string nut and Schaller locking machine heads. This guitar comes complete with a luxurious case.
