In the form of the G6119TG 62RW LTD '62 Rosewood Tenny, Gretsch serve up a very special version of one of its most iconic guitars. Among other high-end specs, this Limited Edition Tennessean boasts a fully laminated rosewood build and stunning gold-plated hardware, instantly drawing a comparison with Gretsch's famous semi-acoustic Tennessee Rose model. Just like the examples of legendary players such as Chet Atkins and George Harrison, the hollow-bodied G6119 Tenny doesn't have any actual F-holes, but painted-on F-holes to counter the kind of feedback you definitely don't want.

The G6119TG 62RW LTD '62 Rosewood Tenny: TV Jones Pickups, Squeezebox Condensers and a Bigby Vibrato

To guarantee that great Gretsch sound, this Rosewood Tenny has been armed with two TV Classics from TV Jones. These humbucker-style pickups give you a solid foundation to build your tone on, and definitely don't lack any higher-end twang. Meanwhile, the vintage acoustic guitar sound, partly shaped by the parallel tone bars that connect the top and back, is fully present. To keep the high-end from going a little too far in terms of brightness, Gretsch have opted for special Squeezebox paper-in-oil condensers, while the trusty, played-in feel of the G6119TG comes from the standard U-profile maple neck. Last not but least, for those ever-tasty note bends, you can fully depend on a Bigsby B6G vibrato tailpiece.
