General
The Gretsch G2622 Streamliner Center Block has a stylish black finish and vintage golden rotary knobs that are reminiscent of the jazz hollowbodies of yesteryear. However, this semi-acoustic guitar is equipped with the perks of modern-day technology, and is offered at a much more affordable price than a genuine Gretsch from the previous century. It's designed to withstand feedback thanks to its ingenious center block system, which starts at the middle of the body and runs up and over the neck. This supports the arched top and keeps feedback to a minimum. A pair of Broad'Tron humbucking pickups are responsible for amplifying this guitar's sweet sound.
G2622 Streamliner Center Block: rock 'n roll, baby!
The Gretsch G2622 Streamliner is a beauty from any angle with its special V tailpiece, fixed Adjusto-Matic bridge, rosewood fretboard with pearloid blocks and finally its authentic headstock. The neck has a U-shaped profile for high playing comfort and the double cutaway makes it easy to reach the 22nd fret. The two humbuckers deliver robust low and sparkling high tones with bright, clear cleans in the middle, which is essentially the unmistakable Gretsch sound everyone's always talking about. Each Broad'Tron has its own volume control, and you've also got a master volume and a master tone so you can tweak your sound just the way you like it.
Anti-feedback
Guitars with f-shaped sound holes have been known to produce unwanted feedback, so Gretsch adjusted the design of this G2622 Streamliner to prevent that from happening. They did that with the Center Block, which ensures tones don't resonate throughout the body, but that you do get to benefit from the hollowbody sound. Finally, the high-output humbucking pickups will make this guitar sound impressive even at low volume levels. All with a price tag that's too good to pass up!
