General
The A6 Ultra from Godin blends two distinct guitar sounds in a single instrument. A humbucker sits like a little surprise at the neck and delivers warmth and defined depth while, hidden away under the bridge is one of Godin's own Under Saddle Transducer piëzos. This picks up the acoustic sounds of the A6 and offers the option of an electric or acoustic amplified sound. As such, two outputs are fitted. Both take a standard 1/4" jack and output 1 sends signal from the humbucker while output 2 comes with two functions: used alone, it sends a mixed humbucker and piëzo signal. But when a jack is also connected to input 1, input 2 sends the acoustic piëzo signal only so that, by connecting each output to two different amps, an utterly unique sound can be created.
Godin
Every Godin guitar is made in one of the Godin workshops in Richmond, Quebec or Berlin, New Hampshire. Every neck and body is sculpted in La Patrie, Quebec, which is also the place where it all started for Godin. Since guitarists the world over are constantly seeking new sounds and methods to make music, guitar builders are always looking for new ways to accommodate this urge.
