General

Due to the wood types available during the 1970s, solid-body guitars like the Telecaster were beginning to get quite heavy. That's why Fender came up with the Thinline models. In 1972, the single-coil pickups were replaced by humbuckers which made these models even more popular. This '70s Tele Thinline from Fender's Vintera series has the same airy sound thanks to its hollowed out body and sound holes. It's made in Fender's Mexican factory in Ensenada which means it can be offered at a better price than the American versions.

Vintera 70s Telecaster Thinline: modern and '70s!

This Thinline Tele gives you all of the advantages of a modern guitar with the sound, look, feel and vibe of a classic '70s model. The ash body plays a major part in its overall sound, while the two Fender Wide Range Humbucker pickups ensure an excellent sound when amplified. Other authentic features include the 3-bolt neck connection and vintage F stamped machine heads.
