General
Halfway through the sixties, Fender introduced their first electric hollow-body guitars in the Coronado series. This guitar quickly gained popularity with its unique looks but mostly thanks to its amazing sound. Nowadays, the Coronado name is once again fully present within Fender's Modern Player series, featuring an improved construction, sound and even more stunning looks! The Fender Coronado Black Cherry Burst is the ideal instrument for guitarists that like something that's a little different from a traditional Fender guitar.
Fender Modern Player Coronado Black Cherry Burst: Center Block for more tone and sustain
The thin semi-hollow maple body of the Coronado guitar has an alder Center Block, a solid wooden beam across the entire middle of the body that separates it into two large sound chambers as it were. This reduces feedback and gives this hollow-body guitar added tone and sustain. The front and back of the body feature beautiful bindings that are also found around the characteristic f-shaped sound holes. The C-shaped neck of this semi-acoustic guitar is also made of maple and has a rosewood fretboard with 21 medium jumbo frets and beautiful mother-of-pearl inlays as position markers. The guitar features chrome hardware and the Fender Coronado logo on its headstock.
Pickups
The Fender Coronado Black Cherry Burst semi-acoustic guitar is equipped with two Fideli'Tron humbucker pickups and a three-position pickup switch. This guitar has four controls consisting of volume and tone for each pickup, which are reminiscent of the knobs found on many amplifiers. Additionally, this Fender Coronado guitar features an Adjusto-Matic bridge with a floating F trapeze tailpiece and a durable three-layer black pickguard to protect the body.
This is a high-quality semi-acoustic hollow-body Fender guitar with an exceptional sound that is excellently suited for music styles such as jazz, country, blues and rock 'n' roll.

Speelt soepel, goede neck die ook niet te breed is. De gitaar ontstemt bijna niet.
De gitaar heeft een mooi helder vol geluid.
Ik moest even wennen aan de slagplaat. Deze zit wat los doordat er maar twee bevestigings punten zijn.
Met name bij het brug element zit de slagplaat wat los en beweegt af en toe wat mee.

The 53 series features the well-known classic teardrop shape, while the 63 series consists of gorgeous Baroque style mandolins.
