General

It's little wonder that the likes of Kurt Rosenwinkel and Bob Weir (Grateful Dead) toted D'Angelico guitars. The Deluxe DC is a decadent thinline archtop with a double cutaway to die for ... and be grateful for. This 16 inch semi-acoustic is designed to deliver soul, deep blues and medium-gain classic, straight-up rock and is endowed with luxurious playing comfort and the richest sustain. The body is mounted with a TOM-style bridge and stopbar tailpiece, and the solid centre-block is glued and sandwiched between the archtop and back to remove any fear of feedback when you jack the Deluxe DC into your amp.

The Deluxe DC: Potent, Full & Purely Vintage

The two-piece maple neck has been shot through with a slice of walnut and has a friendly-feeling C-profile while the 12-inch radius fretboard has been loaded with twenty-two Jescar 47/104 Nickel Silver frets to polish off smooth and snug playability. The neck has been set into the dao veneer body, treating this exceptional model to a warm acoustic foundation sound framed by clear trebles. Two Seymour Duncan Seth Lover A4 humbuckers ensure full and vintage-flavoured amplified tone and gift the Deluxe DC with a sweet-and-round, double-wound PAF-style character.
